Today I had a baby shower for my best friend Rachel and Rosie Mariah, the little girl she's trying to adopt. We don't know how it's going to work since her biological mom is in jail. But I decided since we knew Rosie would be in Rachel's life for at least a year it would be good if she had all the things she needed. I didn't get many pictures because I was busy running around.

Isn't she adorable!?

I think I have posted all the pictures I can. I'll have to post about what I've been up to. But at least all this is done.

So I've been busy. That's why I haven't had time to post for a while.

Last weekend 1/22/05 - Marc and Jess are out here for business, so a group of us met at T.G.I. Fridays for lunch and a movie.

Sam took this while playing around with my camera

Erin, Lillian, David, Carlos, Nancy, Hector, Marc, Jess and myself. The waitress totally cut Sam out of the picture!

After the movie most everyone had something else to do, so Carlos, Nancy and myself went back to Sam's place to hang out.

So Ludek took some pictures of us shooting the last time we went... which was gosh I don't know? In November sometime I think. Either way I have proof that I held and shot a gun... But sadly I laughed at all the pictures of me...

So there you have it. I'll be posting much more here in the next few hours... Unless I get sidetracked.

I just took this test, "What age do you act". Well considering I'm 27 I think I'm pretty much where I need to be. hehe

You Are 26 Years Old
26

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

I have DSL!!!! woohoo! Ok so it's been too long without DSL at my house! I was going insane. Work was just too crazy for me to take too much time out and write a post.

I'm finally getting things put together at my new place. I have a busy schedule and it's hard to get through more then one box a night, if that! So the other night I accomplished more then most nights. I got most of my bathroom put together and I'm happy with how it's coming along. I am really enjoying my new place. I am spoiled. My parents have given me the master bedroom again. It's like having my own one bedroom apartment! I have my desk, a sitting area, my bed, a tv with cable, and a bathroom. What more could I ask for!?

So Monday I was sitting at my desk, doing my thing and suddenly someone poking their head over the divider to my desk and the hallway and says "Chair 77!", it was Marc! From Wisconsin! I had just finished chatting with him about how he was going to fill his time with his wife being back out here! He was actually at his hotel! I was soooo happy to see him! Talk about a wonderful surprise at work! I went over and gave him a big hug and then went looking for Jessica. I was smiling ear-to-ear! I love them so much! And couldn't believe it's already been a year since they moved!

I just got back from my wednesday night class. I was really encouraged about the changes with the youthgroup! One of the teens came up to me and thanked me for encouraging him to talk about God with this girl he's seeing. He said he never felt so close to God, or to his girlfriend, and he had a huge smile on his face and he just said he was really glad about the changes we're making. Now if I ever doubted my use in the youthgroup I would say that was an encouragement that my input matters. :) It was a nice change. It was very encouraging and brought a big smile to my face. I couldn't help but be happy!

So I came home and immediately downloaded a weeks worth of email, sorted it, played a game of bejeweled 2 (actually got bored), and decided it was about time for me to update my blog! :-D I'm listening to the new Jimmy Eat World cd. I have to get to bed here pretty quick... I have been getting up at 5am to get out the door by 6am to get to work by 7am. I've been working overtime to learn the ins and outs of a program we have at work that's been giving us problems. It's odd, I regret the decision at night when I struggle to go to sleep, but in the morning I am actually happier getting to work earlier, unfortunately that doesn't last long... hehe I have a period between 10-12 that I struggle staying awake! But I haven't been able to sleep too well the last few nights either.

Well I know this is rather boring considering I've been out of it for a while. But I promise to update now more and I'll try to remember the interesting things I've missed.

Goodnight.

I know it's been a while since I've posted, we've moved and I don't have DSL or a phone line for even Dial Up yet. So I'm stuck posting at work and work has been too busy to take any real time to write a post... But I did just receive an email from Brenda giving me a link of my niece's school picture of her winning the spelling bee!

Amber Ring winner of Cornelius Elementary School Spelling Bee! She's representing her school in the Charlotte, NC Spelling Bee today, actually right at this moment and she's really nervous! I'm soo excited and proud of her!

Well gotta get to work... I'll try to post more at lunch time if I can get some time.

I'm sitting at Sam's desk, listening to The Killers - Hot Fuss "All these things that I've done" on my new iPod, trying to get the vision of a yellow CHP jacket covering a body in between the back tires of a truck out of my mind. It's an extremely unsettling thing to realize our mortality! I see accidents all the time, mostly fender benders... Only a handful have turned out to be fatality accidents. I was stuck in traffic and knew it had to have been a pretty bad accident due to the amount of lights ahead of me and the fact that all lanes but the far right were closed. But I was not prepared to see a body. As I drove past wondering why a yellow jacket was on the ground in between the two back tires of a red truck, I looked to my right and saw a motorcycle... Right then I knew... Tears started streaming down my face and I found myself sobbing before I even had the lights of all the patrol cars out of site in my rearview mirror. I'm still surprised at how much it impacted me. I thought of his family, prayed a little prayer for them and prayed for his soul even though I was disturbed to think that it was too late for him to make a decision of where he was going.

Happy New Year
